I ordered two armchairs online. I received an initial message to confirm the order, and after that NOTHING anymore.

So I logged into "my" IKEA online account just to discover that there is no such thing. Ikea's website is the worst in the world. They do not have a "My orders history" or "Orders status" link. In your "account" you'll only find your name and address.

Their "Live chat" is with a robot that does not understand anything, NOTHING, you ask "her"/"Ana". I called the 1888 number: I called over and over for 2 days and hung up only after about 45 minutes to one hour without answer. A voice says "Due to high call volumes..." It's IKEA! They don't have high call volume.

(Amazon.com has high call volumes and still someone there answers after less than a minute!) Now what?

I have no idea what to do next...

This has been the worst shopping nightmare of my life. There's no IKEA in the State where I live, so I had to use the online service--but won't do so ever again.

Lots of companies have had supply chain issues but Ikea is definitely the worst. When providing feedback there is a question regarding how much does it reflect on Scandinavian style - perhaps in style but I had the impression that Scandinavians were much better at managing a business. In the meantime they have been increasing the prices of the stock they do have up to 50% - check Ikea's profits at the end of this fiscal year.

Agree ordered an item item seems to be on standstill and ikea does not pick up their phones

Same problem here. My delivery was scheduled for May 20th and so far nothing.

Can't talk to anyone and they don't update on anything.

Even worse, I have two Ikea stores, both a 20 minute drive from my house and they can't help either. Never buying online from Ikea again!

They have a terrible customer service telephone department and the online version is just ZERO help. WHere is my Online Order History?

I am having exactly the same experience I ordered a mattress which did not turn up . Then I spoke to the online chat and and they arranged a redelivery but I have heard nothing this time.

No idea what to do now. The order has been cancelled but no refund

I'm experiencing the same issue. Why would a site that is worldwide not have a history of your orders. What the !!!

There are a number of things wrong with my delivery. No Tarva bed, only the slats.

And the wrong size shelves for a $200 unit I also purchased. Never got a confirmation email (which I have received from IKEA on previous online purchases). Received email with my confirmation number that I luckily also screenshot when I completed the purchase. Tried calling customer service number, but got the same "unusually high contact volume" for 2 hours (about a dozen attempts).

No option to leave a number for them to call you back (which I think is crazy!). When I tried to email their customer service I was required to enter info I was never given. Then, I never received a confirmation email that my email through IKEA.com was sent. I finally got through on the customer service phone line and was on on hold for 20 minutes.

The gentleman I talked to was pretty knowledgeable and really helpful. He gave me a case number and indicated that they will deliver the missing items in a week.

I'm so disappointed. I've shopped at IKEA for years and have never had this type of problem.

Nothing has changed. Their customer support is non existent.

No way to track delivery or assembly status.

TaskRabbit is another joke. IKEA doesn't value customer's time.

Dec 2, 2018 - nothing has changed, same as what has been posted. Customer service is non existent, no hold forever, I was charged for the order but for some reason 'there was a glitch in the system and my order was not completed', which is now the excuse.

I have been disconnected 3-4 times. They are ridiculous.

I noticed the same issue where they don't have a tracking or order on their site. I had to select a delivery date for my order which has not come up yet. Did you have to select a delivery date & they did not come?

Same story here EXACTLY it has been a month and no word on when I will see my purchase...they have my money though. I would never have ordered from them if I knew this was the way they treat customers.

I am having the same issue! 3 years after this original post was made.

haha. There is no chat option or email. I had to call and stay on hold for 25 minutes, to be transferred. I eventually hung up, 'cause I just can't deal.

Anyhow, a few days after my order was set to arrive, I checked the status, and they had just printed a shipping label. Now, some days later, it's on a truck. (The Ikea store its shipping from is about 45 minutes from my house).

It's not urgent that I have this item or anything, but I noticed that the shipping weight was 1.4lbs. It is a table and chairs, so I'm extremely intrigued as to what will be showing up in the next few weeks.

I had same issue; you can NOT check your order. On hold forever when you call - IF you can even get through.

Then the person who answers has no idea about their products or parts. They transfer you to someone else equally clueless. Who then transfers you again to - Yup you guessed it; someone who has no idea about their products.

Meantime you are on hold between each person forever. PAINFUL

go under services, you'll find 'track your order' then enter order number.

That wasn't at all accurate. It indicates my order has not shipped yet BUT shipped delivery is scheduled for tomorrow. "travk order" link is useless.....

I am having exactly the same experience. I am floored that a company as large as IKEA has a customer service and delivery system as poorly designed as this.

I was finally able to find my order in their system but it had no order #!! WTF!! How stupid is that?

I placed the order on the 13th and it is now the 22nd. We do have a store in the same city I live in so my order should have arrived by now.IKEA, get your act together or you will be losing your good name and a lot of customers.

Totally agree. The Ikea website is the only one left in the world that doesn't have an ORDER STATUS button!

Their site it useless after you make your purchase.

I just hope that my daughter receives her shipment sometime this year!!! Ikea: Come join us in the modern 21st century!
