I am very upset with the lack of professionalism from the customer service representatives at Ikea. I purchased a wardrobe 2 months ago and was told they would deliver. I waited on the day of the delivery but they did not show up. Today I got a message from that they would arrive between 1-4 and still they have not come. Never have I encountered such terrible service. Went to IKEA on Tuesday and chose home delivery option. Was told three times (and written on my receipt too) that my 'Next Day Delivery' would arrive between 7 am and 1 pm the next day. Nobody shows up, no one phones me. Same again the next day. I shopped in Emeryville California Ikea store and opted for home delivery service. This store is about 35 miles from my house in Dublin CA. I purchased a TV stand online and had it delivered. When it arrived I was worried because the shipping box it came in was kind of beat up. I want a VERY ANGRY experience rating, created just for IKEA!!! TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE First Ikea delivered the wrong package. The shipping label that was verified during delivery was different than what was printed on the box. After 2.5-3 hours on call and getting to talk with a manager after telling I will not be on hold anymore (Marcus Turner), ikea agreed to pick up the incorrect furniture (of higher value) and Marcus promised a gift card etc....
