In 2011, I bought two mattress protectors, 365+Skydda. They seemed very nice. However… one of them was washed by a laundry, not myself, and shrank dramatically. Meant for a double, now suitable for a single if only I had one. Other than that I still really liked this cover so decided to buy two more for beds at my meditation house. Unfortunately the Skydda was no longer available but I assumed the quality of their new models would be comparable. After researching the two available models on Ikea's site I decided to go with the more expensive one, Rosendun.

When I took them out of the packaging to put on the beds they both (one a queen and one a king) were a couple of inches all around too small. NO designing them to match the size of the standard queen and king mattresses, or a couple inches larger to allow for shrinkage! I was hundreds of miles from an Ikea, and had gone to great lengths to get them to this far off destination.. UGH SIGH!

Moreover and more important, they are nothing like the Skydda model: thick, fluffy, white on both sides has a nice blue piping, and... after four years are still in good shape. ROSENDUN is silver on one side (like something you put in a tent) so you can only use the other, white side, no turning it. It's very skimpy all around, and for the rather high prices I was bummed out!

I know it's impossible to get Ikea on the telephone and if you do then it's a huge rigmarole….energy drain, and in the end nothing gets ammended (no return labels, no troubleshooting... no nothing!). With their customer service it's amazing how well they do. Guess it shows people like to be treated badly??

So I'm using them but did not sleep on either one long enough to give a more comprehensive review. JUst sayin'…….FYI

But I do like the potato chips, jams, cheese, chocolate…. ???? :::>)))

Reason of review: Bad quality.

Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.

Location: New York, New York

I do am having problems with Ikea customer service in Italy, I wonder is it worth (given the lack of response by the company to complaints on an international scale) writing to the EU commission. Ikea is a european company and its lack of consumer legislation awareness EU wide and beyond, appears not to bother people, so why do all complainants not join me in writing to this guy Jens.MESTER@***.europa.eu (one of the press officers on the eu commissions consumer pages), and particular non eu dissatisfied customers, pointing out, that if this is the best that Europe has to offer, then maybe not buying from ANY european company might be the safest option for non EU consumers.

I have written a complaint to him re my kitchen hob (or lack of), as an EU consumer.

So why not bombard him with complaints about this company from across the globe, and highlight (if you are non EU) what this does to the reputation of European companies in general. It seems to be the only language they understand.
