Same old story. Missing pieces and no customer service after the sale. I schlepped to IKEA in Brooklyn with no car; I bought several pieces of furniture including a couch. I waited three weeks for delivery. Assembled couch; found out one whole box with the arms of the couch was missing. (How could Brooklyn let me buy half a couch, or deliver half a couch??) I have chosen a LAGAN faucet (catalog number 100.850.27)from IKEA calalog, which stated that its price was 69 SR. When I went to buy it from IKEA- Jeddah, the cashier asked for 99 SR. We had to argue with him for over an hour, until at last we got the difference. My daughter moved to Chicago August 15th and I ordered furniture for her online. We arranged to have it delivered for $99. When the delivery was made there were two of the same boxes for her bed. Store is poorly laid out and no one seems to know where anything is. The shopping baskets are a workout in itself trying to push them around. All four wheels turn, not just the front ones and people were running into things and other people and having to hold onto the back and side just to guide them. Unless you can walk out the IKEA store with your purchase (check its not damaged and all the pieces are there before you leave) don't shop there. Customer service via phone is the absolute worst. The average wait time I have found to talk with someone is 1 hour. My last wait time was 1 hour 35 minutes. This is totally appalling. A $50 desk, that took two weeks to be delivered - damaged. ... See attached photo , 2 1/2 hrs of waiting until a response !!! One shipment , we never received as forwarding agent stated we had not been at home , but we can prove it ! I ordered kitchen with delivery and assembling and given schedule date. On schedule date the goods have been delivered but no one show-up to do the assembling. I bought from the Pittsburgh store. It says at the loading dock that they will help you load. Waited 15 minutes. No help. Went to returns desk. Told some guys in green vests are on the lot to help. We placed an order for a children's desk and chair. 5 days later the chair shows up. I called IKEA and they told me looks like the desk was misplaced and they will issue a refund.
