We have bought 1 couch and 1 love seat 5 weeks ago and have the following issue that Ikea has not responded to: 1. rude and angry installer - we have white carpet throughout the house. He was not willing to take precautions as not to dirty the carpet. NO ONE ANSWERS THEN PHONE, WHEN I GOT AN ANSWER 1 HOUR(YES 60 MINUTES) LATER I WAS TOLD THE DELIVERY WAS NOT SETUP RIGHT BY THE MOST INCREDIBLY RUDE GIRL NAMED LISA. SHE SAID I WAS OUT OF LUCK AND HAD TO GO BACK TO THE STORE TO FIX. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I have bought a dresser in Ikea on July 2nd. It came damaged. Asked for a replacement that also came damaged. After inumerous attemps to contact customer service (1-888 number just hangs up on you), i was finally able to contact on Aug 19th (almost 2 months later). No matter how many times i called the 4532 # and jumped through the hoops when i finally got to the part where they were supposedly connecting me the call dropped instantly... EVERY TIME! SO I kept at it and finally got someone at a Mass. store and she put me through to the right dept. and NOONE COULD TAKE MY CALL RIGHT NOW! seriously? We ordered on line weeks back and we are still not heaving our order. The delivery company found out ikea sent our order to another city , while Ikea blames the company. We are sleeping on the floor for weeks as we dont have our stuff. Over 1300 spent and now the transport company finally called us this week told us will eeliver today which they didnt and said that our list us actually incomplete... Read more

I shopped at IKEA in Richmond and spent quite an amount of money on their products. But I found their costumer service terrible. First, I saw an item in the show room, I copied down the aisle number and everything. But when I went down to the self--pickup area, I couldn't find it. I bought two sofa beds last Fall from IKEA. The product was discontinued a short time thereafter. I know this happens, but the fact they knew months, if not years in advance of the line ending, and failed to warn customers that extra slipcovers would no longer be offered, makes me crazy. They never delivered my Applaro storage bench ($70 plus $30 for shipping), I called right away. They made me wait for hours on the phone trying to reach the customer service. After getting my info they promised somebody will call me back within 48 hours to resolve the problem. Guess what - they NEVER called be back. So i tried to reach the customer service again. Just purchased the engerdahl mattres base that only to took 45 minutes for them to place it on a trolly get it home and unpack it only to find out it was jncomplete no brackets to connect the 2 sections and all the screws for the legs were wrong size. Soooo pissed off now I have to go back and get the correct stufff it would be nice if Ingvar Kamprad spent time sorting out his companies... Read more
